6 shallots, peeled and diced
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
Step 1 Place the shallots, olive oil, thyme and salt in a small, heavy saucepan. Cook over low heat until the shallots are golden and caramelized, about 20 minutes. Remove from the heat and reserve.
