10 cups shredded pork shoulder
1/2 to 1 cup barbecue sauce (store-bought or homemade)
12 hamburger buns
Toppings for sandwiches:
Extra Barbecue Sauce
Quick-Pickled Red Onions
Buttermilk Coleslaw
Tri-Color Slaw with Lime Dressing
Refrigerator Pickles
Thin-sliced Grilled Pineapple
Kimchi (why not?!)
Place the shredded pork in a bowl. Add 1/2 cup barbecue sauce and stir to combine. Continue adding barbecue sauce until the pork is as saucy as you like it.
Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 3 days. If refrigerated, warm the pork gently in a foil-covered casserole dish in a 300°F oven before serving (or in a slow-cooker set to WARM).
Serve the sandwiches with a selection of toppings and sides.
