  • 3 onions, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) butter
  • 1 lb (454 g) sliced beef fondue
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Worcestershire sauce
  • Cream cheese
  • 4 bagels, halved and toasted
  • Whole-grain mustard
  • Preparation
  • In a large skillet, gently fry the onions in the butter until they caramelize, about 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  • In the same skillet over high heat, brown the meat in the oil. Add the soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Adjust the seasoning.
  • Generously spread the bottom bagel slices with cream cheese. Cover with meat and garnish with caramelized onions. Spread mustard on the remaining bagel halves and close. Serve with a green salad.
