4 cups (1 litre) finely shredded or grated green cabbage
1 carrot, peeled and grated
1/4 cup (60 ml) mayonnaise
1/4 cup (60 ml) rice vinegar
1 green onion, chopped
1 1/2 teaspoons (7.5 ml) sugar
Salt and pepper
In a bowl, combine all the ingredients. Season with salt and pepper. If possible, let the salad rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the cabbage to soften.
