Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the mixture begins to lightly brown. Add the water. Attach a candy thermometer in the centre of the pan and simmer over medium heat until the thermometer reads 118 °C (245 °F). Remove from the heat.
Pour in a stream over the snow and gather with a wooden stick to eat.
