  • 5 ripe firm pears, cored and cut into 6 pieces (peeled or not)
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) 35% cream
    • 1 cup (250 ml) nuts and dried fruit cereal (such as oatmeal crisp) or
    • 1 cup (250 ml) granola, of your choice
  • Preparation
  • With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven’s broiler.
  • On a baking sheet, coat the pears with the maple syrup. Bake, with the door ajar, for about 5 minutes. Stir and cook for 5 minutes or until the pears have caramelized. Drizzle the cream over the pears and toss to coat.
  • Serve the pears in four bowls or glasses and top with the cereal.
