Ingredients
  • 2 onions
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) finely chopped fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) ground turmeric
  • 2 teaspoons (10 ml) ground coriander
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
  • 4 cups (1 litre) chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) honey
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) tomato paste
  • 2.1/2 to 1 teaspoon (5 to 5 ml) hot pepper sauce
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) toasted sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Preparation
  • In a food processor, finely chop the onions and garlic with the spices. In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, fry the mixture in the oil for 1 minute. Add the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer gently for about 15 minutes. Salt generously.
