In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the cocoa powder and water. Cook in the microwave oven for 30 to 60 seconds or until the mixture reaches a boil and thickens. Stir well and let cool.
In a small food processor, purée the avocado with the sugar, vanilla and salt until very smooth. Add the cocoa mixture and process until the colour is uniform. Refrigerate until completely chilled before eating as pudding or use as cake frosting.
