Ingredients
  • 1 cup (250 ml) fresh apple juice
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup (250 ml) couscous
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) Medjool dates, pitted and quartered
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) toasted slivered almonds
  • Preparation
  • In a saucepan, bring the apple juice, maple syrup and cinnamon to a boil. Remove from the heat. Stir in the couscous and dates. Cover and let rest for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork. Add the almonds.
  • Serve hot or warm for breakfast.
