Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups (375 ml) rolled oats
  • 1 cup (250 ml) 2% plain yogurt
  • 1 cup (250 ml) milk
  • 2 Cortland or Granny Smith apples, unpeeled and grated (or both varieties for colour)
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) maple syrup
    • 1/4 cup (60 ml) ground flax seeds or
    • 1/4 cup (60 ml) whole chia seeds
  • Preparation
  • In a bowl, combine the oats, yogurt, and milk. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • Add the apples, dried fruit, maple syrup, flax or chia seeds, and vanilla to the oatmeal mixture.
  • Serve in the centre of the table with fresh fruit, yogurt and, nuts in separate bowls and let each person prepare their own muesli.
