  • 1 lb (454 g) phyllo dough, thawed (see note)

  • In a saucepan, heat the sugar and water until the sugar has dissolved. Add the cinnamon, orange zest and lemon juice. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes. Allow to cool. Remove the cinnamon and zest. Set aside.
