Ingredients
  • 12 slices bacon
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) honey, warm
  • 1 small clove garlic, finely chopped
  • Chili powder, to taste (optional)
  • Preparation
  • With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 400 °F (200 °C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the bacon on the baking sheet. Bake for about 15 minutes or until crisp. Drain on paper towels. At this stage, the bacon can be refrigerated overnight and reheated in the oven with the honey and garlic the next day.
  • In a bowl, combine the honey, garlic and chili powder. Brush the still warm bacon with the honey mixture.
  • Cooked bacon keeps for about one month in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
