1 1/2 ounces dark rum (Straus uses Atlantico)
3/4 ounce vanilla simple syrup (or vanilla liqueur such as Licor 43)
1 ounce creme fraiche
3 dashes bitters (Straus uses Bittermens Tiki Bitters)
Freshly grated nutmeg for garnish
Step 1 In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine the rum, vanilla simple syrup, creme fraiche and bitters. Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.
