In a food processor, pulse the flakes until they reach the consistency of semolina, a grainy flour.
In a pot, bring the water, multi-grain flakes semolina and salt to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat for 8 to 10 minutes or until the semolina is cooked and has a creamy texture. Remove from the heat and let sit for 10 minutes.
Divide the hot cereal between bowls. Top with the fruit, almonds and yogurt and drizzle with maple syrup. Serve immediately.
