Ingredients
  • 2 cups (500 ml) basmati rice
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) oil
  • 3 cups (750 ml) chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) honey
  • Grated zest of 1 lime
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) lime juice
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper
  • Preparation
  • In a saucepan, sauté the rice in the oil for about 2 minutes, without browning. Add the broth, honey and lime zest. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, stir and cover. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes or until the rice is tender. Add the lime juice and green onions. Adjust the seasoning.
