In an ovenproof skillet, brown the potatoes, cut side down, with the garlic in the oil for about 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Add the maple syrup and spices. Stir to combine. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring frequently, until the potatoes are tender. Sprinkle with the pecans and season to taste.
Serve with Duck Breasts with Radicchio, Apples and Maple Syrup.
