Rating: (1 rated)
Ingredients
  • 4 oz (115 g) white or semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) peanut butter
  • 2 cups (500 ml) wheat cereal squares (such as Shreddies ©)
  • 2 cups (500 ml) various nuts (pecans, cashews, peanuts)
  • 1 cup (250 ml) pretzel sticks
  • 1 cup (250 ml) various dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, cherries)
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) icing sugar
  • Preparation
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, over a double boiler, melt the chocolate with the peanut butter. Stir to combine and let cool until the mixture is at room temperature.
  • In an unused brown paper bag or large sealable bowl, combine the cereals, nuts, pretzels, and fruit. Drizzle with the chocolate mixture. Sprinkle with the sugar. Seal the bag or bowl and shake vigorously for 2 to 3 minutes (this is where the teenager comes in). Spread over the baking sheet, separating the mixture as needed. Allow for the chocolate to set at room temperature for about 30 minutes or refrigerate for about 15 minutes.
