Ingredients
  • 1 cup (250 ml) pitted prunes
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) sugar
  • 1 star anise
  • Preparation
  • In a small saucepan, bring all ingredients to a boil and simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes or until prunes have absorbed almost all the liquid. Let completely cool.
  • Serve at room temperature or cold to accompany a cheese plate. Keeps for 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
