Ingredients
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 can (10 oz/284 ml) concentrated beef broth
  • 1 can (10 oz/284 ml) concentrated chicken broth
  • 1/3 cup (45 g) toasted flour
  • Preparation
  • In a pot over medium heat, cook the onion and garlic in the butter until golden, stirring often, about 10 minutes.
  • Add both broths and bring to a boil. Whisk in the toasted flour and let simmer for 3 to 5 minutes or until the gravy thickens. Season with salt and pepper. Strain through a sieve.
  • Serve with spiced roast chicken (see recipe), turkey, red meat or poutine!
