4 cups (1 litre) rhubarb cut into 3/4 inch (2-cm) pieces (about 600 g / 1 1/4 lbs)
3 Royal Gala apples, peeled and diced
2 cups (500 ml) sugar
1/4 cup (60 ml) lemon juice
Preparation
In a saucepan, combine all the ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Simmer for about 15 minutes or until the apples are tender.
Pour into sterilized jars. Freeze or sterilize. (See article Sterilization 101).
