Ingredients
  • 2 large Spanish onions, thinly sliced
  • 60 ml (¼ cup) olive oil
  • 60 ml (¼ cup) chopped parsley
  • Preparation
  • In a bowl, combine the onions, oil, parsley, capers, anchovies, bay leaf and cloves. Season with salt and pepper.
  • In the cavity of a slow cooker, spread a third of the onion mixture. Layer with half of the meat. Cover with another third of the onions and the remaining meat. Finish with the remaining onions.
  • Cover and cook on Low for 8 hours. Serve with mashed potatoes and a green vegetable.
