1 1/2 pounds ground turkey
1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
1 medium red bell pepper, cored, seeded, and diced
1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 tablespoon honey
2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon dry ground mustard
1 teaspoon garlic powder (no salt)
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
6 hamburger buns, for serving (optional)
Add all the ingredients to the slow cooker. Stir well to combine all the ingredients, making sure to break up the turkey. Cover the slow cooker with the lid. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or on high for 2 to 3 hours. Stir again before serving.
